Show Up. Trust the Process.

Process without reward is the way.

Daily commitment to process without being overly outcome-oriented inadvertently yields great outcomes: through deep-work compound interest.

Clinical and academic Psychologist Jordan Peterson summarized it well:

Perhaps happiness is always to be found in the journey uphill, and not the fleeting sense of satisfaction awaiting at the next peak.

@erickgodsey had a great quote on this philosophy, on a recent podcast with @heycoryallen, paraphrased something like this:

“It’s never nothing in the sense that, I might not get the reward or outcome that feels big, but there’s something within me that, whenever I choose to act in accordance with it (the Daimon, the “internal whisper”) it’s almost like: if I imagine my highest potential as a version of me in the future, each time I act on the whisper, one of my atoms is replaced by the atom of my potential. The fact that I acted on it, feels like I’m accumulating an atom, and for me, it’s never nothing.”

Whatever you’re doing, wherever you’re going, whoever you’re becoming…..

Show up everyday. Replace those atoms. Keep moving forward, trust the process.
